A home is not just about bricks and mortar. Understanding the heart of the home can give the dementia community the confidence to stay with family, friends and go on holiday. Not just to experience all the health and well-being benefits we all know a good holiday can give, but to better understand what is important if people living with dementia have to leave their homes because of illness, safety or an unexpected event.

Creating Meaningful Connections

In a week where I have seen many people create meaningful connections for the dementia community, I would be really interested in other people’s perspectives on how we create meaningful connections with one another, but in particular a person living with dementia.

He decided to tackle a problem closest to his heart, which is – why isn’t there an equivalent to defibrillators for allergies? Wherever you go, there is usually access to a defibrillator, but there is no access to epi pens.
