Brain Health Consultancy
In creating and founding Sargent Group Consulting, Dr Carol Sargent has utilised her extensive scientific, commercial, consulting and entrepreneurial skills together with her experience of a decade of influence that transformed the popularity of dementia tourism.
Sargent Group Consulting is fast evolving as a conduit, catalyst and intermediary through which innovative and creative strategies for dealing with a diagnosis of dementia and other brain related diseases are established.
Our solutions will transform treatment, prevention strategies, enhance coping mechanisms and minimise the catastrophic financial impact too often endured by families.
Our consultants have a range of business, complementary, personal and professional expertise in brain health. This, coupled with their hands-on knowledge and practical experience of delivering solutions, provides a unique and commercially valuable proposition for our clients.
Commercial applications are predominantly associated with dementia and related brain health conditions. These include: making services and products inclusive, provision of accessible travel, extending product ranges, expanding customer bases, attracting brain health centric consumers, generating evidence of value and cost benefit and delivering the rationale for market entry.
FUELING THE MISSION
‘Profit with Purpose’ is the ethos of Sargent Group Consultancy.
Our asset lock ensures that 50% of all net profits are dispersed to support the brain health community through provision of services and products which improve their lived experience.
Sargent Group Consulting’s principals intend driving change which benefits society and communities at large by means of a substantial cash reserve which its commercial strategies will generate.
Our purpose is to improve people’s brain health, make a significant social impact and encourage and support businesses to provide the dementia community with products and services that improve their lives.
PARTNERSHIP FOCUS
Sargent Group Consulting and its partners will maximise mutually beneficial success to drive its mission of improving brain health but with a specific focus on prevention and coping strategies that enhance the lives of everybody affected.
Sargent Group Consulting applies commercial principles along with robust evidence so that partners may develop and/or repurpose products and services for the brain health of everyone in the community.
In the true spirit of partnership, we agree bespoke terms of engagement which are appropriate to both fledgling and established businesses in developing mutually successful outcomes.
COST OF DEMENTIA
Every 3 seconds somebody in the world is diagnosed with dementia. Currently 55 million people worldwide and 900,000 in the UK have dementia.
50% of UK families of people with dementia typically devote more than 100 hours of unpaid care a week.
Globally, there are another 18 million people with undiagnosed dementia and their families pay £5.15 billion per year, more than any statutory body. This contributes to a total global dementia spend, equivalent to the 14th largest economy in the world.
Our founder Dr Carol Sargent and her family have first-hand experience of the helplessness experienced by the person diagnosed with dementia, their family and friends.
A REALITY CHECK
Numerous diseases are categorised as dementia including Parkinson’s, motor neurone disease (MND), Lewy Bodies dementia, and Huntington’s Disease.
Families have little prospect of halting cognitive decline as state-funded health services have no prescription medicines capable of halting the disease, leaving families no choice but to shoulder virtually the entire financial and caring burden.
Newly approved drugs are available to only 30% of those with early Alzheimer’s. They lack long-term evidence of efficacy and safety in real life treatment settings.
And, what prescription medications are available only ameliorate symptoms.
